NEWS CENTER - 10 journalists were detained in house raids in Amed-based 21 cities.
 
While the presidential and general elections are few days away, Amed-based Mardin, Siirt, Bingöl, Van, Şırnak, Batman, Gaziantep, Urfa, Bursa, İstanbul, İzmir, Mersin, Muş, Bitlis, Hakkari, Osmaniye, Sivas, Malatya, Adıyaman and Ankara. Dozens of homes and businesses were raided. Mezopotamya Agency (MA) editor Abdurrahman Gök, our agency's reporters Ahmet Kanbal and Mehmet Şah Oruç, Yeni Yaşam Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Osman Akın, Privilege Owner of the weekly Kurdish-language newspaper Xwebûn, Kadri Esen, JINNEWS reporter Beritan Canözer, journalists Mehmet Yalçın, Mikail Barut, Salih Keleş and Remzi Akkaya were detained within the scope of the investigation.
 
It has been learned that the journalists accused of "being a member of terrorist organization" will be taken to the Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate.
