MUĞLA - The sit-in started by the villagers who blocked the road to the cement factory under construction in Muğla continues on its 3rd day.

The sit-in started by the villagers, who blocked the road to the cement factory under construction in Muğla's Deştin and Bayır districts, continues on its third day. The villagers, who woke up in the morning around the fire they lit in the guard area, shouted slogans such as "Don't touch my air, water or soil" and "Cement company,  leave this place!" throughout the night.

The villagers also blocked the TIR loaded with a clinker boiler and furnace, which went to the cement factory last night, and did not allow it to pass. As a result of the resistance of the villagers, the truck returned before it could go to the factory.

'WE WILL NOT ALLOW VEHICLES'

Haluk Özsoy, a member of the Deştin Environment Platform, who spoke at the sit-in, said that by stopping the truck loaded with a clinker boiler and furnace in 35 hours, they made the company take a step back. Noting that they will not allow the vehicles of the cement factory to pass, Özsoy urged everyone to support their demonstrations.
