Mothers detained in Istanbul released

ISTANBUL - 5 mothers detained at the birthday occasion of Abdullah Öcalan were released after deposition.
 
Women who were detained in the Kanarya District of the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul, after leaving roses in the sea on the occasion of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's 74th birthday, were released. After walking along the beach with the slogan "Biji Serok Apo", 4 of the mothers who left roses in the sea were detained at the venue, and 1 mother was detained on the way home after the event.
 
The mothers, who were taken to the police station in the Canary District, were released after being prosecuted on charges of "making propaganda for a terrorist organization" and "opposing the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations".
