Operation in Istanbul: Young people detained

ISTANBUL- In Istanbul, many people, including HDP Youth Council members and journalist Sema Korkmaz, an employee of the Democratic Modernity magazine, were detained by police raids.
 
As part of an investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, many people were detained, including members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Youth Council and journalist Sema Korkmaz, an employee of the Democratic Modernity magazine. The young people, who were detained on charges of "being a member in a terrorist organization" after the raids on their houses, were taken to the Istanbul Security Directorate on Vatan Street. It was learned that a "confidentiality" decision and restriction of lawyer's visits were brought about in the investigation file.
 
The names of the detainees are: “Sedat Uğraş, Muhammed Uğraş, Barış Ugun, Rojin Değirmenci, Osman Koçar, Serhat Yavaş, Sema Korkmaz.”
