Detentions in Izmir released

İZMİR - HDP and Mothers of Peace Council members, who were detained on the grounds of the slogans shouted during the Newroz celebration, were released.
 
People's Democratic Party (HDP) İzmir Provincial Director Mahsun Koç, HDP Party Council member Mehmet Sabri Gül, members of the Mothers of Peace Council Sultan Yağmekan, Hanife Gümüş, Hediye Korkut and Nüfusa Ataç, HDP members Hediye Korkut, who were detained in İzmir in the morning hours, were detained. Famile Arı, Elfedin Kol, Gülizar Dağ, Ayten Gülmez, Zeynep Çelik and her prisoner's relative Fatma Sürme were released after their statements.
 
On the other hand, HDP members Edibe Sincar, İntizar Özel and Selma Kudum are also expected to be released after their police statements.
 
It was stated that the people accused of "praising the crime and the criminal" were asked about the slogans shouted during the celebration, on the grounds of the slogans shouted at the Newroz celebration held in front of the HDP Konak district building in Çimentepe on March 11.
