ANKARA - Continued the sit-in in front of the Ministry of Justice demanding the end of the isolation against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and calling out to the Ministry of Justice, HDP MPs saif: "If Imrali is affiliated with the Republic of Turkey, if it is connected to the Constitution, then stop applying private law and lift the absolute isolation."

The sit-in protest, launched by the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in front of the Ministry of Justice demanding that PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan meet with his lawyers, continues on its third day. HDP Mps Murat Çepni, Kemal Bülbül, Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, Nuran İmir, Şevin Coşkun, Dilan Dirayet Taşdemir, Erdal Aydemir, Sait Dede, Celadet Gaydalı and Muazzez Orhan came before the Ministry of Justice with signs that read "The law should be implemented in İmralı".

Speaking at the sit-in, stating that the Imralı isolation is against national and international law, HDP İzmir MP Murat Çepni said: “Our sit-in in front of the Ministry of Justice is on its third day today. From here, we would like to call out once again to those who have established their own survival through the insolvency of the Kurdish Question. We are here to convey the demands and requests of millions of Kurds and our peoples to the ministry and government officials. There has been absolute isolation in Imrali for 21 months, especially against Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan. We would like to emphasize once again the unlawfulness of this isolation, its violation of human rights, and its violation of national and international functioning.”

ISOLATION SPREADS TO THE COUNTRY

Çepni said: “The isolation has spread not only in İmralı but throughout the country. We want to say this when we say that the isolation targets the entire society, not just İmralı. Isolation is applied in the same way everywhere. The winner is a handful of warlords; The losers are millions of workers, laborers and our peoples. As an HDP, we will continue our sit-in against the isolation until a result is achieved. Isolation is a crime against humanity, end it as soon as possible. We are calling out to all the government, especially the Ministry of Justice: Stop this crime. If Imrali is affiliated with the Republic of Turkey, if it is connected to the Constitution, then stop applying private law and lift absolute isolation.”
