5 women arrested in Diyarbakır, 23 were released

DİYARBAKIR - Five of the 28 women detained within the scope of the investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office were arrested.
 
Within the scope of the investigation launched by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 28 women were detained during house raids on their homes on July 14 in line with the arrest warrant issued against 33 people. While 23 of the women detained under the investigation were released with judicial control measures, 5 of them are arrested.
 
5 WOMEN ARRESTED
 
TJA activists Hasret Alp, Figen Ekti, Bahar Akyapı, HDP Sur District Co-chair Hatun Yıldız and MED TUHAD-FED Co-Chair Elif Haran was arrested with the accusation of being 'a member of an illegal organization'.
 
ARREST WARRANT AGAINST GÖKKAN
 
In addition, it was noted that TJA spokesperson Ayşe Gökkan, who was released with judicial control measures, is summoned for a deposition by Antep Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on grounds that she has another investigation against her.
