“I call out to Russia and Iran once again, we have no problem with you in Syria,” said Erdoğan and continued with his threats against the Syrian regime.

 

“The threat of attack against our observation posts, uttered by those who apparently drew no lesson from what has happened, shows that they have not come to their senses. As long as they don’t pull out of the boundaries set by Turkey, their heads will not stand on their shoulders after a while.”

 

Voicing his expectations from the meeting with Putin on March 5, Erdoğan said he hoped for a speedy solution to the issue through a cease-fire or some other steps.

 

Erdoğan also commented on the influx of refugees who have been leaving Turkey for Europe but are faced with strict measures in the border regions, especially at the Greek border. Addressing his remarks to Europe, he said; “Gates have been opened. You will also get your share of this burden.”

 

Before Erdoğan’s visit to Moscow, U.S. Special Envoy for Syria James Jeffrey and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Kelly Craft will come to Turkish capital Ankara tonight.
