HATAY - Cebrail Ancar, a prisoner being held in solitary confinement in İskenderun Type T Closed Prison, was battered by the prison guards who told him 'The state is here, stand up!'. Ancar filed a criminal complaint about the guard.
Cebrail Ancar who is being kept in solitary confinement in İskenderun Type T Closed Prison was battered by the guards because he did not stand up during the count. Following the battery, Ancar filed a criminal complaint about the guards to the İskenderun Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Ancar's family applied to the Humans' Rights Association (İHD) Diyarbakır Branch to end the violations of rights.
Ancar, who applied to the HRA and prosecution, stated that he has been in İskenderun Prison for 4 years and have been experiencing intense violations of rights. Ancar stating that he is being held in solitary confinement and that some guards who came to the cell on January 13 attacked him after yelling him 'The state is here, stand up!'. Ancar stating that they kept beating him through the corridors and the prison doctor did not give him a medical report, said: "The prison administration who knows what happened and remained unresponsive is also a partner in this crime."
Ancar filed a criminal complaint about all parties involved.
