ANKARA - Ministry of National Defense announced that 4 soldiers were killed and 9 soldiers were injured in the operation of the Syrian army in Idlib last night.
Operations initiated by the Syrian army towards Idlib continue. The city was shelled last night. The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that there was a close contact between the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) and the Syrian army at night. According to the allegations, the Syrian army approached Serakib, which is critical in Idlib, about 3 kilometers. Upon this development, while TSK was creating a new control point in Serakib, artillery and missile firings were carried out at night.
MSB announced that 4 soldiers lost their lives as a result of the artillery fire of Syrian army and 9 soldiers were injured and one of them is in critical condition.
The ministry stated that soldiers were sent to the region as reinforcements in Idlib, although their locations were previously coordinated, Syrian Army opened fire anyway.
MSB made a statement and said: "As a result of the artillery fire 4 of our hero fellow soldiers are martyred and 9 of our fellow soldiers were injured. The targets determined in the region were immediately intensely fired with our fire support vehicles and the necessary response was given and the targets were destroyed. The developments are followed and the necessary measures are taken."
