BATMAN - İkiköprü Co- Mayor Hatice Taş who came to the agenda with her resistance against the gendermerie blockade said: "Whatever they say, we too have purple lines and we will lay claims to them."
İkiköprü Municipality Co- Mayor Osman Karabulut was dismissed on December 7 on grounds that he has an ongoing trial with the accusation of 'being a member to an illegal organization'. Beşiri District Governor Sinan Aşçı was appointed as a trustee in his place. İkiköprü Co-Mayor Hatice Taş who came up with her resistance against the gendermerie blockade that day, evaluating the trustees as attacks against the co-chair system, said that the trustees will not be able to understand the language of the peoples.
Taş stating that for almost 25 years, İkiköprü has been ruled by the system parties, especially the AKP, and said that HDP has won the municipality with high votes in the last two terms. Stating that the public has been waiting for service for 25 years, Taş said that all the works they wanted to do for the last two terms were obstructed by the trustee policy.
OUR PEOPLE ARE GETTING MORE AND MORE ANGRY
Taş reminding that their party had a vote rate of %51, said: "This is a proof that the people don't want the trustees or the AKP. But the government could not handle that and usurped the municipalities with a gendermerie blockade. These are the last moves of AKP. Taş, stating that the trustees are a blow to the peoples' will, said that they will not submit to the trustees that doesn't speak the language of the people. Taş said: "AKP thinks we will take a step back against the oppression. On the contrary, our people are getting more and more angry. No one should expect us to step back.
EVERYONE'S A TERRORIST FOR AKP
Taş, stating that the search took hours and that they confiscated many documents from the municipality building, said: "What we have done for the service of the public. Not a single unofficial transact have been done. Everything is registered and for the service of the people. For AKP, everyone is a terrorist. They appoint trustees in this perspective."
Taş, stating that the government have not valued women througout its history, said: "They can't handle us being a women's party and that women are voting for us. Therefore they are attacking the co-chair system of HDP. Whatever they say or do, we too have 'purple lines' and we will lay claims to them. Just like our people, we will put forward our democratic reaction against these trustees."
