AĞRI - Police opened fire on two unlicensed children because they did not obey the stop warning and hit them with an armoured vehicle. Medical reports were not given to be children who were dragged out of the car and beaten with butt ends.
Yesterday at 16:00 in the town of Agri Dogubayazit M.F. (16) and E.C.A. (15) were assaulted by the police. Allegedly, children who did not obey the “stop” warning at the check point were chased by the police car. Police opened fire on the car children were driving and then they hit the car with an armoured vehicle and beat the boys with butt ends. The children were taken to hospital handcuffed to each other.
M.F's elder sister Berivan F told what happened as follows: "My brother M. and his friend E.C.A. they wash the car and then start riding it in the neighborhood. In the neighborhood, the police warn them to stop, but the children flee because they dont have a license. During the chase, the cops shooted at the car. Children stopped the vehicle, but the police deliberately hit the car with an armored vehicle from the front. The airbags in the vehicle exploded as a result of impact. They take the kids down and start assaulting them with their gun butts.
They keep the children in the mud for about 30 minutes and beat them. Later, when the children wanted to contact us, they broke the children's phone. The police then forced the children to sign a paper by spraying pepper spray in their mouths. Then they contacted us, I went to the district police department and asked about the children but learned that they were not there. I saw the kids when I went to the hospital. Although we wanted to get a medical report to prove they were beaten, the doctor didn't give one."
