MARDİN - MARDİN - Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Governor Mustafa Yaman, who was appointed as trustee for the second time, dismissed 187 workers. DİSK / General Business Union's Mehmet Salih Doğrul said that the workers were forced to change their unions with pressure and threats.

 

 

Governor Mustafa Yaman appointed as trustee to Mardin Metropolitan Municipality for the second time by the Ministry of Interior started firing the workers shortly after he took the office. Yaman who fired 150 workers immediately when he was appointed, fired 37 more people. The workers were notified with a message from the Social Security Institution (SGK). The trustee forces the remaining workers to change their unions.

 

 

 

Mehmet Salih Doğrul, the General Manager of the General Trade Union affiliated to the Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions (DİSK), who stated that they would also make a criminal complaint about the events, recalled that the choice of the union was the workers' own decisions.Doğrul stating that almost 200 members of their union was fired, called for solidarity in the face of this arbitrary dismissals.
