People's Democratic Party (HDP) Siirt MP Meral Danış Beştaş evaluated the Judicial Reform Strategy announced by AKP's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Beştaş who stated that the reform packages come up frequently in AKP period,said those packages did not go further from being the copies of one another.
'JUDICIAL PACKAGES ARE A TRADITION OF AKP'
Beştaş who stated that the government have announced many judicial packages, especially in the European Union compliance process, said AKP has a tradition of announcing judicial packages and then they cut them off at the pass with their policies.
RADİCAL STEPS MUST BE TAKEN INSTEAD OF PACKAGES
Beştaş who recalled that similar package announcements were done before, said: "They say they will improve the freedom of press in their statement, but there is no freedom of press at the moment. These statements carry a cosmetic feature. AKP should abandon the package and take radical steps."
