ADANA - Peace Mothers called on the government to take concrete steps for the democratic solution of the Kurdish question, "Let our leader be released," they say.
Support for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's "Call for Peace and Democratic Society" announced on 27 February continues. Members of the Peace Mothers Adana Assembly emphasised the importance of the call and demanded the government to take steps for a solution and peace.
'PEACE WILL NOT COME WITH ATTACKS'
Şemsa Bağdu stated that their hearts are burning during the conflict and they do not want blood, tears and war. Şemsa Bağdu said, "Although the PKK declared a ceasefire, the state continues its attacks. Peace cannot come with attacks. The state must take steps for a solution by ending the attacks and release our leader."
Fatma Çığ demanded AKP Chair and President Tayyip Erdoğan to take steps for justice and peace and said that no one can deceive them. Fatma Çığ demanded the state to release the prisoners in jail and stated that they want justice and law.
Azize Gültekin emphasised that the government should take the outstretched hand of peace and added, "Let our leader be released and come to the Parliament. Let this process end in peace."
Ayşe Alağaş stated that weapons cannot be laid down without peace and demanded peace to come to this country instead of blood and tears.
Suphiye Bayav stated that peace is made between those who fight and emphasised that Abdullah Öcalan has been struggling for years to bring justice and peace to this country. Suphiye Bayav said, "Blood cannot be cleansed with blood. Let peace be established as soon as possible." Stating that the state has not taken any steps yet, Güler Tufan asked the government to do so. Hatice Bayna demanded peace in this country so that young people would not die anymore.
Peace Mother Zübeyde Bağdu said, "Our hearts are burnt, we do not want any mother's hearts to burn. We want peace."
