The vigil started at the Qamishlo border opposite Nisêbîn (Nusaybin) district of Mêrdîn (Mardin) against the attacks of Turkey and the Syrian National Army (SNA) against North and East Syria continues. The vigil started in front of Mitani Cultural Centre and then moved to the Nisêbîn-Qamishlo border crossing where greeting were sent to the people of North and East Syria throughout the day. During the vigil, which continued with the participation of the people of the district and people from neighbouring districst, Kurds, Turks, Assyrian and Arab peoples. They called on the peoples to protect the Rojava Revolution, while calling on Turkey and its accompanying forces to abandon their attacks on North and East Syria.

Citizens who gathered at the border of Qamishlo from 7 to 70 also stated that they will continue their protests until the attacks of Turkey and the paramilitary forces affiliated with Turkey stop and gave the message that they will protect the Rojava Revolution.

'WE WILL BE ON TEH VIGIL UNTIL THE ATTACKS END'

Fatma Xelef, who lost 4 of her relatives in the ISIS attack on Kobanê and the clashes that followed, stated that they demand peace and said: "We lost so many people. Isn't that enough? I myself lost 4 relatives. We want peace. I will return to my hometown if they open the gates today and give us peace. They are attacking us. No one else is doing the massacre they did to us. We do not want anything else. We will be here until the attacks end."

Peace Mother Tenzile Ağatay also stated that they were at the vigil for Rojava, "Thousands of people should be here. Turkey must put an end to these attacks. Let them stop shedding the blood of our children. Let them take their hands off our children. We will be on guard here as long as the war continues," she said.

'WE WILL DEFEND LIKE KOBANÊ'

Peace Mother Ferha Akbulut pointed out that there is an unlawful and heavy war in Rojava and said: "Today they are attacking with tanks, artillery and aeroplanes. What right does the Turkish state have to attack Rojava today? It is also the land of Kurdistan. It is also our land, our homeland. Today it is attacking Rojava with its gangs, tanks and cannons. They bomb villages. It massacres without saying elderly, women and children. We do not accept this. We are here as Peace Mothers. As long as the vigil continues, we will be here. Long live the resistance of Rojava."

The government insists on war said Peace Mother Selma Öztürk and added: "Everyone lives in their own homes, on their own land. Why are you coming out of here and dropping bombs on people? What is your problem? Enough is enough now. Stop this war. Stop this bloodshed. We don't want it. We will keep watch here. We will be the voice of our comrades here. We will protest this hostility. Until this war stops, we will continue to support Rojava here. Today they will attack here and tomorrow they will attack other places. For this reason, no one should sit at home, they should come and stand guard here, these sufferings should be put an end to."

'THEY SHOULD TAKE THEIR HANDS OFF THE KURDS'

Peace Mother Emine Koç stated that they will insist on resisting until they get results in Rojava and said that Turkey is attacking Kurds like Saddam. Noting that Kurds are defending their rights and struggling for this, Emine Koç said: "Either they will stop or we will continue to be here and resist. They should take their hands off the Kurds".

'DEFENDING ROJAVA IS DEFENDING KURDISTAN'

Tajdin Baday said: "Wherever there is a serhildan (resistance) for Rojava, everyone should be there for their honour. We must all resist. If Rojava goes, all of Kurdistan goes."

Mehmet Emin Acar stated that they will not accept the attacks against Rojava. Stating that they do not want war in Rojava, Acar called on the people and said: "Our people should be here, they should not accept this war. We must support Rojava. We must protect Rojava. Protecting Rojava is protecting ourselves. Therefore, we must protect it. Rojava is very important for Kurds. First of all, Kurds are there. It is a part of Kurdistan. If we do not defend Kurdistan, if we do not defend Rojava, where will we defend?"
