The case filed against TTB President Fincancı was postponed

ANKARA - The hearing of the case filed against TTB Central Council President Prof. Dr. Şebnem Korur Fincancı on the allegation of "insult" due to her statements regarding the use of chemical weapons was postponed receiving the statements of the Ministry of Defense.
 
Regarding the President of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB) Central Council, Professor Doctor Şebnem Korur Fincancı, who is on trial for her statements regarding the chemical weapons used by the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in the attacks on the Zap, Avaşîn and Metina areas of the Federated Kurdistan Region. The second hearing of the case filed with the allegation of "insulting" following the complaint of Ministry of Defense.  Fincancı, her lawyers and  members of the non-governmental organization also attended the hearing of the case at Ankara 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance.
 
Fincancı's lawyers, who spoke at the hearing, requested the rejection of the case. The court rejected the request to dismiss the case.
 
The court postponed the hearing to May 7 to receive the Ministry of Defense's statements regarding the case.
