While the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, solution to the Kurdish issue" rotating hunger strike action supported by political prisoners in prisons in Turkey and Kurdistan reaches its 15th day, messages continue to come from prisons.

 

Metin Uyar, who is held in Giresun Espiye Type L Closed Prison, where his hunger strike continues, sent a message to the public in his phone call with his family.

 

'WE WILL SACRIFICE OUR LIVES IF NECESSARY'

 

Stating that they will succeed with hunger strike actions, Uyar said: “We are good and right. Our country, our leader, our party and our life are ours. We are proud of these and believe that we will succeed. The hunger strike we are on is about loyalty and debt. Everyone who calls themselves human and defines themselves as a patriot must pay this debt. What we call loyalty is necessary on such days, the debt is given on such days. Our people are honorable and have been fighting a great struggle for years. We are trying to do our part selflessly. If we have to die for this cause, we will do that too. We will sacrifice our lives if necessary. Friends here, we are good and we are resisting. All our friends believe that this action will be successful. Our friends here are around his leader and support him. These periods are very important and everyone needs to do their part."
