NEWS CENTER - Citizens who participated in the "Freedom March" launched in Gemlik to ensure the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to solve the Kurdish issue, came together in Izmir and Eskişehir and set out.
The "Freedom March" launched towards the Gemlik district of Bursa to ensure the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who is held in absolute isolation in İmralı Type F High Security Closed Prison, and to solve the Kurdish issue, continues. Many people, including politicians, set out from Ankara and Mersin and met at the entrance of Eskişehir. The citizens then set out for Gemlik.
İZMİR BRANCH IS ON THE ROAD
Many people from the cities in the Aegean region came together at the Newroz area in Akıncılar neighborhood of Buca district of Izmir. The crowd coming together from Muğla, Manisa and Aydın was blockaded by the police. The crowd condemned the police attack with the slogan "Pressures cannot intimidate us."
16 people were detained before the march. Those detained were taken to the Security Branch Directorate in Çankaya. Some of the names taken into custody are as follows: Mahsum Koç, Ayşe Sılık, Cuma Kolu Kısa, Şakir Oklav, Fulya Erdoğan, Abdulgani Telli, Fatma Funda Akbulut, Dindar Arslanğray, Ramazan Sılık, İbrahim Esen, Nevzat Aktaş, Sıraç Turğal, Emanet Kaban, Kudbettin Karagöz and Kamil Dag.
Despite the police attack, many people set out towards Gemlik in private vehicles.
