THE 'WITNESS' OF KOBANÊ CASE

The charges against Müftüoğlu, whose police statement was taken, were based on the statements of public witnesses Kerem Gökalp and "K8Ç4B3L1T5", who took part in the lawsuits filed against the activists of the Kobanê Case, Health and Social Service Workers' Union (SES) and the Free Women's Movement (TJA).

In the investigation carried out, the DFG, of which Müftüoğlu is the Co-Chair, and the Mezopotamya Agency, of which she is the editor, were shown as "illegal".

Responding to the use of the phrase "so-called" about the Mesopotamia Agency in the questions asked to him, Müftüoğlu said: “MA is an agency that continues its activities legally. I also do journalism there. I am not working in accordance with any instructions."

Müftüoğlu was asked about her travel to the Federated Kurdistan Region to follow the 2017 referendum elections as part of her professional activities.

HER COLLEAGUES WERE ASKED

Müftüoğlu was asked about her colleagues Sedat Yılmaz and his wife Selma Yılmaz, who were detained with her, and the employees and journalists of the Mezopotamya Agency. Müftüoğlu's joint base recordings with journalists were also brought as charges.

Müftüoğlu was asked about money transfers made from Dicle News Agency (DİHA), where she was the Editor-in-Chief between 2013 and 2016, and from dihaber, of which she was the Concessionaire. In addition, MASAK reports and money transfers between Müftüoğlu's family and journalist friends were subject to crime.

'I AM A JOURNALIST'

Refusing the accusations, Müftüoğlu stated that she is a journalist and that she has been prevented from carrying out her professional activities for 3 days and said: "I am a journalist open to the public, in front of everyone."
