MARDİN - The family of Dijwar Aydoğan, who lost his life in Afrin, filed a criminal complaint after the constant threats. Noting that they were subjected to the imposition of "sitting in front of the HDP", mother Emine Aydoğan asked for her son's missing body.

The Aydoğan family, living in the rural Barman (Yeşilalan) Neighborhood of the Stewrê (Savur) district of Mardîn, filed a criminal complaint on the grounds that they were subjected to pressure and harassment by those who introduced themselves as intelligence. Members of the Aydoğan family, the family of YPG Dijwar Aydoğan (Renas), who lost his life in Turkey's attacks on Afrin, have been detained for over a year on the grounds that they did not accept the demands of those who say they are "intelligence agents".

58-year-old father Ramazan Aydoğan was detained again on March 3, informally, and was asked to work as an intelligence officer; thereupon, on March 7, father Ramazan and mother Emine Aydoğan applied to the Human Rights Association (İHD) Mardîn Branch.

THE PRESSURE OF WORKING FOR STATE

Stating that he was threatened with death every time he was taken into custody, Aydoğan continued: “I was going to the notary public on March 7, they came. They asked why don’t you work for the government? They said that I am a traitor to the state. They wanted me to work with them. They said my car was used in demonstrations. They told them that if I do not work, they would destroy my car. I sold my car. In my last detention, they threaded me and said: 'we will strip you naked. We will bring worse than the earthquake to you. You will either work for us or we will not let you live'."

STATE FORCED TO THE FAMILY TO SIT IN FRONT OF HDP

Stating that they were constantly harassed and forced to sit in front of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Amed Provincial Organization building, Mother Emine Aydoğan (50) said: "The military raided their homes many times. They asked why my son went to the mountains. I told him that my son left because of the pressure they put on. They asked me to sit in front of HDP in Diyarbakır. I said I would not sit down, they said they would scan us all and throw chemicals in our house. My son did not go forcibly. He fled from their violence. My son's departure has nothing to do with HDP."

'I WANT THE BODY OF MY SON'S BODY'

Noting that his son died during the attacks on Afrin in 2019 and his body has not yet been found, Aydoğan said: “I want the body of my son from them. His body is missing, I want them to reveal it."
