NEWS CENTER - Stating that Turkey wants to expand its borders with the attacks in the region, Journalist Fuat Kav said: "The Barzani family have definitely become the Erdogan family, the KDP has become the AKP and Mesut taken Erdogan's position. In this context, their destinies are intertwined.”

 

While Turkey's attack on Avaşîn, Metîna and Zap regions in the Federated Kurdistan Region in cooperation with the KDP continues, the President of AKP Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave the signal of a new attack on Northern and Eastern Syria. While Manbij and Til Rıfat are the targets of attacks every day, journalist Fuat Kav evaluated Turkey's attacks against the Kurds and the KDP's stance.

 

THE ELIMINATION OF THE KURDISH PEOPLE

 

Noting that Turkey sees itself as the primary addressee in terms of eliminating the Kurdish question with denial-destruction and genocide, Kav said: “Turkey's main problem is the Kurds. They are trying to prevent Kurds from having a status. Both the people and the movement leading the people."

 

TURKEY CHANGED TACTICS

 

Reminding that there was no liquidation of the Kurdish movement with soft politics, dialogue and flexible attitude, Turkey changed tactics and started using military power, Kav said: “If the freedom movement and PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan had not understand correctly what the AKP and the state wanted to do during the peace process, then the freedom movement would certainly have been liquidated. However, Öcalan said: 'What do you think I am, can you deceive me? I have been leading a military and political struggle in the Middle East for forty years'. Then Erdoğan ended the peace process, change tactics and started using military power.

 

NEO-OTTOMANISM

 

Noting that another reason for the attacks was the Neo-Ottoman policy, Kav said: “The way of the New Turkey is Neo-Ottomanism. Neo-Ottomanism is invasion, plunder, recapturing several continents. Erdoğan never accepted the Treaty of Lausanne and he said that the Treaty of Lausanne, which Turkey has to accept in reality, is not the real National Pact in their hearts. Erdoğan announced his idea to the whole world. Erdoğan is targeting Syria and Iraq, which means Kurdistan. Erdoğan invaded these lands with several different reasons and say he will leave if his conditions are met. Turkey never leaves the places it invades because Turkey's goal is to invade these countries and the fact that it is fighting terrorism is a lie."

 

TURKEY'S TARGET IS ZAP

 

Pointing out that the targeting of Zap is an attack based on long preparations, Kav said: "If Zap-Metîna and Avaşîn are taken, an all-out attack will be planned from there to Gare, then to Qandil, and then to all Kurdistan. While previous attacks and operations were based on hit and run tactics, the operation against Zap is different and Turkey means to be permenant in Zap."

 

'MESUT HAS TAKEN ERDOĞAN'S POSITION'

 

Stating that the KDP strategy is not new, Kav said: "What they are doing now can only be explained by betrayel. They are using the AKP-MHp technics. KDP is the same thing with the rangers in Turkey. KDP is not only fighting against the Kurdish freedom movement. It is fighting everyone who has the priorities of the Kurds in their hearts. The Barzani family has definitely become the Erdogan family, the KDP has become the AKP and the Mesut Barzani has taken Erdogan's position. In this context, their destinies are intertwined. What happens if the goverment of AKP-MHP falls? They will be prosecuted. What happens if the KDP loses in the South? The KDP will also be prosecuted. The KDP is no longer itself, but has become a counter power of the Turkish army at the local level, organising in Kurdistan and attacking the freedom struggle.”
