The second hearing of the Kobané Case where 108 people, 28 of whom are currently behind bars, stands trial including former Co-chairs of People's Democratic Party (HDP) continues with the defense of former HDP Co- Chair Selahattin Demirtaş.

 

A POLITICAL TRIAL

 

HDP Former Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş who attends the hearing via Video and Audio Information System (SEGBIS) reiterated their request for a recusition and said, "At a time when politics became so dirty and corrupt, and immorality became apparent, I want to state that me and my friends who are on trial here today are prosecuted because of political reasons.

 

"WE WILL NOT BE IN THE DEFENDANT CHAIR WHEN THIS BECOMES A FAIR TRIAL'

 

Demirtaş said: “I want to start by making a correction before moving on to my procedural objections and requests. This case, as it is named in the minutes, is not the Kobanê case. The name, content and essence of this case is a conspiracy case against the HDP. It is a political revenge case against the HDP. One day, the Kobanê Case will be opened again and the real perpetrators of the incidents, state and government officials who provoked the streets, governors, district governors, police chiefs, who murdered all those people will definitely be revealed. Everyoen must be sure about it, we will not be in the defendant chair. When we reveal all the stages of this conspiracy without any hesitation, you will see that the conspiracy is not a claim, not a political accusation, but an indisputable fact. There have been many political cases in Turkey so far. I have also witnessed many conspiracy cases, but I think for the first time in the world, a political party in a courtroom, the AKP and MHP, dares to judge another party, the HDP.

 

 

ERDOĞAN, BAHÇELİ, SOYLU 

 

There are no real judges and prosecutor's in this hearing. Erdoğan sits as the President of the court board, along with Bahçeli and Soylu, while pro-government media and the troll armies of the AKP in the seat of the prosecutor. Parties fight each other in the Parliament, at the polls. Even in the most fascist orders, they would not dare to judge another party by wearing togss and putting themselves in courtrooms as judges. However, AKP-MHP is trying to judge the HDP by declaring themselves judges and prosecutors in the court, as the AKP-MHP has exceeded the borders in recklessness and lawlessness. Throughout this trial we will see who'll judge who. We will never allow the will of the people to be usurped by these conspiracy cases. When the people give the necessary answer to the AKP-MHP fascism at the ballot box, we will do our best to make sure that those responsible for many crimes including the ones on trial right now, to stand before an independent court room and held to account. Don't worry the people of Turkey. The wind will turn."

 

THE COURT BOARD FORGED THE TRANSLATION OF ECtHR DECISION

 

The court board did not only did a pirate translation, they forged the translation. They doctored it in order to use it against me. The most critical sentence in the ECtHR decision was doctored. This is a felony and it is proven.The ECtHR decision was signed on 12 November and announced on 22 December. The ECtHR announced the verdict after 40 days, but someone must have heard of the verdict since the Turkish judge in ECtHR is a Central Executive Board member of the AKP. Before the announcement of the decision, Erdoğan and Bahçeli started to make harsh statements about me. 

 

The hearing has been suspended and will continue with the defence of Demirtaş.
