Detention review of 28 politicians in Kobanê Case started

ANKARA - The detention review of 28 politicians, who were imprisoned within the scope of the Kobanê Case, started, in which 108 people, including former HDP Co-Chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş were prosecuted.
 
The lawsuit against 108 people, including former Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, due to the protests that took place across the country between 6-8 October 2014 as a result of the ISIS attack on Kobanê, will be held on April 26. Before the first hearing to be held at the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court, the detention review of 28 politicians who were detained within the scope of the file were started with the interlocutory hearing.
 
Many lawyers attended the interlocutory hearing, which the arrested politicians attended via Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS) from prisons they are held. 
 
The names of the politicians to be reviewed are as follows: 
 
Former HDP Co-Chairs Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, Kars Municipality Co-Mayor Ayhan Bilgen, Democratic Regions Party (DBP) former Co-Chair Emine Ayna, former deputies Ayla Akat Ata, Beyza Üstün, İbrahim Binici, HDP former Party Spokesperson Günay Kubilay, HDP new term Central Executive Board member Alp Altınörs, HDP Foreign Relations Commission member Nazmi Gür, HDP Radio and Television Supreme Council member Ali Ürküt, HDP former bookkeeper Zeki Çelik, HDP former Central Executive Board members Bülent Barmaksız, Can Memiş, Cihan Erdal, İsmail Şengül, Mesut Bağcık, Bircan Yorulmaz, Dilek Yağ, Pervin Oduncu, Berfin Özgü Köse, Ayşe Yağcı, Zeynep Ölbeci, HDP former MP Aysel Tuğluk, DBP former Co-Chair Sebahat Tuncel, Diyarbakır former Co-Mayor Gültan Kışanak and HDP former Central Executive Board members Nezir Çakan and Meryem Adıbelli.
 
With the indictment of 3 thousand 530 pages prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, aggravated life and imprisonment sentences of hundreds of years are demanded for the crimes of "violating the unity and the unity of the state" and "murder".
