NEWS CENTER - The people of Shengal are keeping watch on Shengal Mountain to protect their gains against the decision of the Iraqi government.
Against the Iraqi government's request for the Shengal Autonomous Administration to withdraw from the Êzîdxan Public Defense Forces from the region, the people started a watch on Senghal Mountain.
The time given by the Baghdad administration is running out today. The people of Shengal gathered in the Cilmêra Region, where Shengal Mountain is located, in response to the decision of the Iraqi government and to protect their gains. While many people joined the watch, it was stated that the attendance would continue throughout the day.
SHENGAL DEMOCRATIC AUTONOMOUS COUNCIL HAS WARNED
Following the decision, the Shengal Democratic Autonomous Council (MXDŞ) held a comprehensive meeting with all institutions, religious people, and opinion leaders in the region and decided to resist. MXDŞ pointed out that they were trying to solve the problem through dialogue but called for preserving their gains in the event of an attack.
It was stated that there has not been an extraordinary situation in the region so far and silence prevails.
