DİYARBAKIR - TJA Spokeswoman Ayşe Gökkan has been taken into custody in Diyarbakır after an arrest warrant was issued against her earlier today.
The spokeswoman of the Free Women's Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad - TJA), Ayşe Gökkan was taken into custody after an arrest warrant was issued by the 9th Heavy Penal Court in Diyarbakır during a hearing held on Wednesday.
The TJA official is accused of "managing a terrorist organization" and "membership in a terrorist organization".
Arrested during a raid in her apartment in the central Kayapınar district of Diyarbakır, was taken to the anti-terror branch of the police department. According to information obtained from lawyers, Gökkan will be held here tonight and will be referred to the 9th Heavy Penal Court tomorrow. She is expected to be sent to prison afterwards.
