NEWS CENTER -  Iran sentenced journalist and activist Ruhullah Zam to death because he “fueled anti-government unrest”.

 
Iran sentenced the journalist and activist Ruhullah Zam to death because he “fueled anti-government unrest”. Judiciary Spokesperson Golamhüseyin İsmaili announced the decision.
 
The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced that they brought Zam who lived in Paris to back to Iran on October 14, 2019 and arrested him. Details about the operation that brought Zam to the country were not disclosed.
 
Zam supported the protests in Iran in 2017 through his "AmadNews" Telegram channel.
 
5 thousand people were detained and 25 people were killed in the protest started in 2017 due to high food prices.
