The Tasluja district of Silêmanî (Sulaymaniyah) was targeted in drone and missile attacks. The attacks sparked a major fire in the area, and the extent of the damage caused by the fire is not yet known. It was also reported that, at the same time, a major fire broke out in the Casene orchards and vineyards near the Dûkanê border, and that local residents called for emergency assistance.

 

Following the attacks, Silêmanî Governor Haval Abubakir issued a statement, saying: “We strongly condemn the attacks on Sulaymaniyah and the Kurdistan Region. The Kurdistan Region and local administrations are not party to the war in the region. We ask citizens to stay away from the explosion sites and not to obstruct traffic so that the relevant authorities can continue their work.”
