KON-MED Co-Chair Gök calls people to Cologne rally for freedom

AMED - KON-MED Co-Chair Kerem Gök stated that they will be in the fields for the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan at the rally to be held in Cologne, Germany on November 16, “Our people will embrace the philosophy of Leader Apo,” he said.  

Preparations for the rally and march to be held in Cologne, Germany on November 16th have been completed. The rally, which will be held within the scope of the “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, democratic solution to the Kurdish issue” campaign launched on October 10, 2023 against the severe isolation policies against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, will deliver messages about the physical freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the democratic solution to the Kurdish issue. 
 
Kerem Gök, Co-Chair of the Confederation of Kurdistan Societies in Germany (KON-MED), called for participation in the rally to be held in Cologne on November 16th. 
 
'THE WILL OF A PEOPLE BEING TARGETED WITH ISOLATION'
 
Stating that the rally was one of the first milestones of the second year of the “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, solution to the Kurdish issue” movement, Gök emphasized that they are further expanding their struggle. Kerem Gök called on the peoples in Europe to participate, “The isolation practice targets not only an individual but also the identity, culture and existence of a people. In the person of Leader Apo, the Kurdish people's struggle for freedom is being attacked. We invite you to the rally in Cologne to show the commitment of our people against these attacks,” Gök said.  
 
'TOTAL RESISTANCE'
 
Reminding that the world is going through a period in which borders are being redrawn and deep crises are being experienced in the Middle East, “The Kurdish people must unite in a line of total resistance to protect their will and freedom in this historical period. We are in a total resistance against total attacks,” he said and stated to the wars in many parts of the world, Gök stated that the Kurdish people must fight with a strong organization in order to win. 
 
'WE WILL EMBRACE HIS PHILOSOPHY'
 
Noting that with the November 16 rally, PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan's peaceful messages will also be announced to the European public, Gök said: “At this rally, our people will embrace philosophy of Leader Apo  and show their commitment to him. In Cologne, together with our friends in Europe, we will spread Leader Apo's messages and shout out the importance of embracing his freedom for the Kurdish people.”
