AMED - Reacting to the fact that Mehmet Demirhan, who murdered Hilal Kar, has not been caught for 14 days, Kar's sister is concerned for the health and safety of her nephew.

On June 23, 33-year-old Hilal Kar was murdered with a firearm by Mehmet Demirhan, to whom she was religiously married, while she was walking on the street in 5 Nisan neighborhood of Rezan (Bağlar) district of Amed. Kar died on the spot while the perpetrator Demirhan fled the scene.

Although 14 days have passed since the massacre, the fact that Demirhan has not been found in the city, which is monitored by cameras and Mobil electronic system integration (MOBESE), has caused reactions.

Hilal Kar, who had 3 children from her first marriage, married Mehmet Demirhan 6 years ago through imam marriage after leaving him due to systematic violence. For 6 years, Kar, who was subjected to violence from Demirhan, could not leave for her child with Demirhan.

Hilal Kar, who could not bear the violence she was subjected to anymore, separated from Demirhan a year ago and started to live alone with her children. Kar, who started to work in order to take care of her children, was attacked by Mehmet Demirhan with a gun while she was going to work and lost her life.

THREATENING

Kar's sister Rabia Kar, who lives with Kar, said that her sister was brutally murdered at 09.55 in the morning on her way to work. Stating that the killer murdered her on a street where no one was around after lying in ambush, Kar said: "My sister was working for her children. She was working as an auto-shearer. She had separated from Mehmet Demirhan. The murderer was constantly threatening my sister and me recently. I told my sister to file a complaint, we were going to file a complaint but she was killed a day later."

Stating that although 2 weeks have passed since her sister's death, there is still no news from the killer, Kar said: "15 minutes before he killed my sister, Mehmet sent a message to my sister's older son S., asking for the identity of his own son A. He sent the message to S. at 09.31 and called him at 09.34 but could not reach him. This murderer was either going to kidnap my nephew S. to threaten my sister or harm her."

Calling out to the authorities, "Let this killer be found as soon as possible. Enough is enough" Kar said.

'FIND MY NEPHEW'

Kar said that the perpetrator took her nephew A. with him 5 days before the massacre and stated that the murderer planned the murder. Kar said: "I want my 5-year-old nephew to be found as soon as possible. My nephew cannot even eat without us and she is very young."
