DEM Party wins in Dersim

DÊRSİM – In Dêrsim, one of the most anticipated cities in the local elections, the DEM Party, with which the left-socialist and democracy forces formed an alliance, won.
 
In Dêrsim, one of the cities where the results of the local elections are wondered, the results have been finalized in the city center and districts. The alliance of left-socialist and revolutionary forces, united under the umbrella of the People's Equality and Democracy Party, held elections with common candidates in 5 districts, 1 town and the city center. According to the results, DEM Party co-chair candidates Birsen Orhan and Cevdet Konak were elected first with 6 thousand 453 votes in Dêrsim. CHP ranked second, received 5 thousand 262 votes.
 
In Dêrsim, where 22 thousand 608 voters voted in the 2019 local elections, the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) candidate Fatih Mehmet Maçoğlu was elected mayor with 5 thousand 887 votes and a rate of 32.77 percent. In the same elections, Nurşat Yeşil, the candidate of the People's Democratic Party (HDP), came in second with 5 thousand 69 votes and a rate of 28.21 percent. Accordingly, it is seen that the vote rate of the DEM Party, which participated in the elections with the Dersim Alliance, increased significantly in the city center and districts.
