WAN - The procedures at the police station for journalists Arif Aslan, Oktay Candemir and Lokman Gezgin, who were detained after their homes were raided, have been completed. Journalists accused of "financing terrorism" are expected to be referred to the courthouse within the day.
The statement proceedings of journalists Lokman Gezgin, Oktay Candemir and Arif Aslan, who were detained during the police raids on their homes in Wan on February 27, were completed last night at the Counter-terrorism committee (TEM) Branch Directorate of the Provincial Police Department, where they were held.
Journalists were accused of "financing terrorism". Journalists were asked about the royalties they received for the news they sent to media organizations broadcasting in European countries.
IT WAS A CRIME FOR SENDING MONEY TO HIS RELATIVE
Almost all of the people with whom the journalists exchanged money from their bank accounts were defined as "persons registered for terrorism crimes".
Even the money transfer made by Journalist Aslan to his relative, whose payments to the reporters working for the internet news site they founded were included in the file as a crime, was considered a crime.
The journalists, whose statements have been completed, are expected to be referred to the prosecutor's office within the day.
