AMED - Those who set out from Qers and Wan for the "Great Freedom March" united in Amed after 13 days. Freedom Marchers wore black aprons due to the anniversary of the international conspiracy against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The Qers and Wan branches of the "Great Freedom March", which was launched on February 1 with the participation of politicians and non-government organizations managers for the freedom of PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the democratic solution of the Kurdish issue, united in the Palûkê (Çarıklı) Neighborhood at the entrance of Amed city center.
Marchers in the Wan branch, setting off from Xana Axpar, where they arrived yesterday, and the Qers branch, setting out from Bismîl district, met at the crossroads of the two districts.
DBP Co-Chairs Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and Keskin Bayındır, who are in different marching branches, presented flowers to each other on behalf of the groups.
Freedom Marchers, who were preparing to arrive in Amed city center, took off their white aprons and wore black aprons instead, to show their reaction to the conspiracy.
After the preparations, the marchers set out towards Amed.
