URFA - Demanding justice with a sit in for the last 291 days, Şenyaşar family shared the following on Twitter: "Those who remain silent in the face of this injustice will lose. If there is no justice, there will be no prosperity."
Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in a massacre carried out by the AKP Deputy İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives on 14 June 2018 in the Suruç district of Urfa, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who was injured in the same attack, are continuing the sit in in front of the Urfa Courthouse. The sit in, launched on March 9, is on its 291st day. The family comes to the courthouse from their house in Suruç which is 42 kilometers away from the Urfa Courthouse. Arriving at the courthouse early in the morning, the family started the sit in for the day.
Tagging the Twitter accounts of AKP's President Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkis Bar Association (TBB), Şenyaşar family wrote the following: "The sit in of this mother in front of the court house is the scale of this country. The President should come forward and say they he was manipulated about the massacre in the hospital. This pressure on the judiciary must be removed. Those who remain silent in the face of this injustice will lose. If there is no justice, there will be no prosperity."
