URFA - A racist attack was carried out against the HDP Urfa Provincial Organization building, despite it being kept under control by police.
A racist attack targeted the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Urfa Provincial Organization building at around 2.30 A.M today. Three people carried out the attack. They draw a cross on the door of the building and drew the emblem of the fascist Grey Wolves with spray paint.
The attackers, who wrote insulting writings on the building wall, then left the area. The images of the attack were recorded by the security cameras of the workplaces in the vicinity of the HDP building, but were not given to the party members on the grounds that there was no permission from the prosecutor's office.
BUILDING WAS UNDER POLICE SURVEILLENCE
HDP Urfa Provincial co-chair Çiğdem Karakeçili said that the party employee who opened the provincial building at 7.30 A.M this morning discovered the graffiti. Karakeçili underlined that the buildings of the provincial organization are monitored by the police 24 hours a day and added: “The police are checking everyone who enters the building, but 3 people can come and stay in front of our building for 6 minutes and draw graffitis on the wall. Where do they get this courage from? We are the 3rd largest party in Turkey. Those who come in front of our building waving their arms and writing racist words on our walls should know that we will step up our struggle. We will never give in. We have always resisted and will continue to resist attacks. We are not afraid."
