ANKARA- Making a statement regarding Northern and Eastern Syria, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu gave the signal of a possible attack and said: “We will do whatever needs to be done.”
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu held a joint press conference with Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Moncada Colindres. Çavuşoğlu also answered questions about AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan's statements regarding Syria.
'WE WILL DO WHAT'S NEED TO BE DONE'
'Will there be a new operation to be launched against Syria?'; Çavuşoğlu answered the question as follows: “We see that the attacks against northern Syria have increased. They also attacked our soldiers and our police. One of our soldiers was killed on October 7, and 2 of our police officers were killed on October 10. After our cross-border operations, we reached an agreement with the USA and Russia. Promises were not kept. Russia and the USA are responsible for the recent attacks too because they did not keep their word. What we have to do here is to make it work with our own means. We will do whatever it takes to clear terrorists from this area."
