Speaking at the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mikdad called on Syrian refugees to return to their homes. Mikdat stated that some countries are using Syrian refugees and said that they will remove Turkish and American soldiers from the country.
Calling all Syrian refugees to return safely and voluntarily, Mikdat said that the Syrian government and its allies have taken every precaution to enable their return and meet the basic needs of those who have returned, and that western countries have benefited from the suffering of Syrians.
'WE WILL END THE OCCUPATION'
Stating that the Syrian army will continue to fight until full control is achieved, Mikdad said, "The pressure, lies and accusations will not make us give up." Expressing that the presence of Turkish and American soldiers in northern Syria is illegal, Mikdat noted that this situation constitutes a clear violation of international law. Mikdad said that they will remove the Turkish and American soldiers from the country and said, "We will end the occupation with the same determination, using all possible means of international law, just as we wiped out terrorists from most of Syria."
