VAN - Mobin Veledbeygi who were among the 9 Kurdish refugees who came to Turkey from Iran and was detained by Turkey and handed over to FSA, send a 10-second voice clip to his family. Veledbeygi told that they were fine and they expect to be released in a few days.
A new information was obtained about the 9 Kurdish men who came to Turkey legally from Kermanshah province of Iran 3 months ago and were detained by Turkey on August 22, and ended up being handed over to Free Syrian Army by Turkey.
Mobin Veledbeygi, who was among these 9 people detained, sent a 10-second audio recording to his family last night.
Veledbeygi who said they were fine and they expect to be released in a few days but did not share where they are being held.
FAMILIES ARE WAITING
The families of the Kurdish refugees on the other hand, sought support from many international aid organizations as well as the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Families who went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for help with photographs of their children.
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Mobin Veledbeygi, Mesud Hayderî, Demavend Pak Sereşt, Afşar Rustemi, Bahmen Şadravan, Hidayet Ruxzadî, Said Ahmedî, Fardin Dervişpur and an unknown person who entered Turkey legally wanted to seek asylum in European countries. However, they were detained in Beykoz, Istanbul on 22 August.
The detainees were held for two days in the police station. Following the procedures at the police station, Turkey decided to deport them. However it was revealed that 9 people who were first taken to Antep and then the Syrian city Azaz, were handed over to Free Syrian Army by Turkey.
