ANKARA - Speaking about the events regarding the Kobané Case which she refers to as 'Conspiracy case', HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan said: "The perpetrators of that day, the real criminals who committed these crimes, are protected, they are excluded from the case file, and HDP MPs who made efforts to prevent the events, are on trial to be punished instead."
The 4th hearing of the Kobanê Case, where 108 people, 20 of whom are currently behind bars, including the executives of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), is being held at the Sincan Prison Campus today. HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan made a statement in front of the Sincan Prison Campus while the hearing was on recess.
Underlining that it is in fact a conspiracy case, Buldan said: "We see that an indictment that has absolutely nothing to do with the law, was written with political motives, and that there is nothing real in the indictment, and that it was written with a sense of revenge. However, we see that the political actors of a period were put on trial."
'REAL CRIMINALS ARE PROTECTED'
Stating that the Kobané Case is not a legal case, Buldan said: "Our friends will prove our claims that this is not a legal case. Every one of our friends on trial today made efforts to prevent the events that unfolded that day. The real perpetrators of that day are being protected, and have been exluded from the case file. and HDP MPs who made efforts to prevent the events, are on trial to be punished instead. We will get through this. As HDP supporters, we demanded the establishment of an investigation commission in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in order to clarify this issue and reveal the real perpetrators. It was rejected by AKP-MHP votes. We are face to face with an understanding that is afraid of the truth being revealed. I reiterate that this case is a conspiracy case and I state here that we will never leave our friends alone."
