URFA - New footage was revealed regarding the attack against the Şenyaşar family which resulted 3 people from the family to lose their lives. One person who attacked the workplace of the Şenyaşar family turned out to be absent in the file.
New footage was revealed of the attack of the AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız and his relatives and bodyguards against the Şenyaşar family in the Suruç district of Urfa on June 14, 2018. Mesopotamia Agency (MA) obtained two new video footage of the attack. It was seen that an attacker who has a Kalashnikov in his hand was not included in the case files. It is seen in the footage that Emine Şenyaşar and her husband came running at the hospital, crying. The time stamp of the video surveillence system at the Şenyaşar workplace shows that the attack was carried out at 15.55. 22 minutes after the attack, at 16.17 father Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar enters the scene. The father Şenayaşar, who crosses the barriers set up at a short distance from the workplace, is prevented from entering the workplace by the plainclothes police. Şenyaşar, who is seen hitting his head with his hand while arguing with the police, is trying to be taken out of the police line. Şenyaşar, who did not go away despite the police, runs after his injured son Adil Şenayaşar when he was removed from their workplace by the paramedics.
THE GUNMAN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FILE
Another camera records that the father Şenyaşar was prevented by the police from seeing his son while he was taken to the ambulance. While the father was being removed from the ambulance, it is seen that a gun man carrying a gun (Kalashnikov- AK47) moving towards the Şenyaşar family was stopped by a police officer. It is alleged that this gunman was a relative of the Yıldız family, working as a ranger. The police then confiscates his gun. No information about this person was included in the first indictment regarding the attack at the Şenyaşar workplace.
MOTHER ŞENYAŞAR WAS ALSO IN FRONT OF THEIR SHOP
Mother Emine Şenyaşar enters the video at 16.19 in front of their shop and collapses on the pavement. Removing her white scarf, Emine Şenyaşar starts screaming.
THE FILE WAS SEPERATED INTO TWO
The case file was seperated into two. One about the attack at the Şenyaşar workplace the other is about the attack at the hospital. Fadıl Şenyaşar was sentenced to 39 years and Enver Yıldız was sentenced to 18 years in prison at the first case. The investigation into what happened at the hospital continues with a confidentiality decision.
MAJOR WOUNDS WITH SHARP INSTRUMENTS
Since there is a confidentiality decision in the file, what happened in the hospital is not disclosed. However, according to autopsy reports, father Şenyaşar died at the Antep 25 December State Hospital at around 17.00 one day after the attack. The autopsy report of the father Şenyaşar, who was buried side by side with his children Adil and Celal in Suruç on June 16, was found to have sustained major injuries from 7 vital parts of his body with sharp objects and 23 non-lethal wounds on his body.
'WE WENT TO THE SHOP TOGETHER'
Having a nervous breakdown in front of their workplace, Emine Şenyaşar is a first hand witness about what happened there. Şenyaşar told that her husband was lynched with broken serum bottles and an oxygen cylinders. Telling that she was at home at the time of the incident and that she ran to the shop as soon as she heard about it, the mother, Şenyaşar said: "The women were screaming at me, saying 'Don't go there, they killed your children. They will kill you too." I saw my husband on the way there. He didn't know what happened. We went to the shop together but the police did not allow us to go in. Then an ambulance came. They took someone from the shop and put him at the back of the ambulance. Then someone came and took us to the hospital with their own vehicle."
'HE WAS SCREAMING HE WILL KILL US'
Stating that the minute they got in the hospital, relatives of AKP MP Yıldız attacked them, Şenyaşar said: "20 men surrounded my husband the minute we walked in the hospital. They hit him in the head with a serum bottle and the iron it was hanging from. They were hitting him constantly. He was covered in blood. I tried to help him but I couldn't. Police walked away. They went outside. I ran after them and told them they should help. The police did nothing. They lynched my husband and shot him in the head. I would recognize the person who shot my husband if I ever saw him again. Then I collapsed. One of my son's friend came and took me outside. I don't remember how I left that hospital. I saw my husband being lnyched and I don't remember the rest. Someone was creaming at me, saying he will kill me. He had short hair. He had a round face. I would recognize him too if I ever saw him again."
TİHV: IT WAS A PLANNED ATTACK
During the incident, while the governor, district governor, police chief, AKP ministers and deputies were standing outside, the cameras were destroyed in the hospital, and the blood-stained walls were painted in a rush. Şebnem Korur Fincancı, who was the President of the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TİHV) at the time of the attack and is now the Chairperson of the Central Council of the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), posted a photo of the destroyed camera on her social media account, and shared it with the following note, "The cameras were destroyed in the hospital in Suruç, the attack looks planned!" In another message Fincancı wrote, “One of the DBP members had his head broken with an oxygen cylinder, they shot one of them with a pistol, and stabbed the other and cut his throat.”
TTB: DECURITY FLAW
TTB, which issued a written statement two days after the incident, stated that the safety of health care workers and physicians was not ensured, and said, "We have learned that attacks continued inside Suruç State Hospital. The information that two of the deaths occurred in the hospital reveals that there is a serious security flaw in the hospital. At the same time, we have learned that ambulances have been prevented from serving the wounded and take them to surrounding state hospitals."
At the time of the attack in the hospital, the Governor of Urfa, Suruç District Governor, Minister of Agriculture Eşref Fakıbaba, hospital security and police were present in the hospital. Immediately after the incident, many officials of the government, especially AKP Chair Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, declared the Şenyaşar family, who was attacked, to be PKK members. However, Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar, who was murdered in the hospital, is a tradesman who has been registered with Suruç Chamber of Craftsmen since 1999 and is known by everyone.
THE INCIDENT AT THE HOSPITAL WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE INDICTMENT
The prosecution prepared an indictment 18 months after the incident. In the indictment, the incident in the hospital where the main attack against the Şenyaşar family was made were not included in the indictment. Again, there was no statement in the indictment regarding Esvet Şenyaşar, who came out of the hospital with a smashed head and was dead. Although 3 years and 3 months have passed since the incident, there still is a confidentiality decision on the file."
FAMILY CONTINUES THE SIT IN
The Justice Watch, initiated by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in the attack in front of the Urfa Courthouse since March 9, continues uninterrupted on the 191st day. The demands of the mother and son are that the confidentiality order to be lifted in the file where 8 prosecutors have changed, and the criminals are tried and Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been held in solitary confinement for 3 years and 3 months, is released.
