The military operation launched by Turkey against the Federated Kurdistan Region on April 23 with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) special forces continues. The People's Defense Forces (HPG), in a statement on September 4, announced that 7 members of the KDP forces lost their lives while trying to cross the Zap River in the Xelîfan region.
KDP: WHAT'S PKK DOING IN XELIFAN?
KDP Spokesperson Mahmud Muhammed, in a written statement on September 5, argued that the allegations were baseless and said, "What is the PKK doing in Xelîfan, what is its relationship with that region?"
KCK: KDP STARTED A WAR WITH US
According to the statement of the Koma Civakên Kurdistan (KCK) in the Fırat News Agency (ANF), it was stated that the KDP was a partner in Turkey's attacks. The KCK drew attention to the fact that the fate of 3 HPG members detained by KDP forces near the Bêxme village of Xelifan has not been disclosed, and also reminded that 7 HPG members lost their lives in the conflict with the Turkish Armed Forces as a result of the KDP's blockade in Metina. In the continuation of its statement, the KCK said, "With this attitude, the KDP has openly started a war on the side of the Turkish state against the guerrilla."
'KDP TOOK RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ATTACK'
The statement which reminded the words of KDP Spokesperson Muhammed asking what the PKK was doing in Xelîfan, it was said, "KDP took responsibility of the attack with its statement asking what the guerilla was doing in Xelîfan."
