NEWS CENTER - At least 102 people, including JinNews reporter Beritan Canözer, were detained within the scope of an investigation in Diyarbakır, Adana, Mersin and Van. It was learned that the police held a gun to the head of a minor in Adana.
As part of the investigation carried out by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police raided multiple houses in 4 cities early this morning. Within the scope of the investigation, it was stated that 104 people were detained on charges of "propagandizing for a terrorist organization" and "acting on behalf of the organization", while 59 people, including JinNews reporter Beritan Canözeri, were detained. It has been learned that the persons whose names have not been learned have been taken to the Diyarbakır Provincial Security Directorate and that the number of detentions may increase.
29 HOUSES RAIDED IN ADANA
As part of the investigation carried out by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 29 houses were raided by the police. 26 people were detained.
During the raid on Agit Bahadır's house, it was stated that the police searched the house without a warrant and held a gun to his s12-year-old sister's head. Ayten Bahadır was detained.
A women named Cemile Kavak was detained but later released due to her old age and health issues.
The names of those detained are: Mazlum Gök, Ayten Bahadır, Edip Ulaş, İsmail Bayav, Emrah Ekinci, Mehmet Sağlam,Veysel İleri, Ömer Çakır, Ferhat Şimşek ve Hasan Erdoğmuş.
4 DETAINED IN MERSIN
As part of the investigation launched by Mercih Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 4 people were detained in Mersin. Those detained were taken to Mersin Provincial Gendermerie Command.
15 DETAINED IN VAN
15 people were detained in Van early this morning. Those detained were taken to Anti-Terror Branch of the Van Provincial Security Directorate. Those detained for their social media posts are: Ferhat Azan, Rojin Varhan, Siyabend Aslan.
