ANKARA - Women politicians on trial in Kobané Case condemned the attack against HDP İzmir Office in which party worker and member Deniz Poyraz was murdered.
Women politicians imprisoned within the scope of the Kobanê Case against the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) condemned the attack on HDP Provincial Organization in Izmir yesterday, in which party employee Deniz Poyraz was murdered.
Sebahat Tuncel, former Chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), made the statement on behalf of the detained female politicians.
Tuncel made the following statement: ""We express our condolences to his family, party and friends. We know where these attacks against our party, against the Kurdish people, the Kurdish women comes from. Those who wish to bury this country in darkness, those who inflame the conflict among peoples for the survival of their party, those who spread hatred with nationalist, sexist, religious, fascist discourses through their fascist bloc have paved the way for this attack. Standing against these attacks means insisting on the unity of the peoples, insisting on peace, democracy and freedom. We invite all forces of democracy and freedom, especially women, to take a stand against this fascist mentality that wants to drag Turkey into the abyss. Jin, jiyan, azadi!”
