ANKARA – Member of the People's Democratic Party (HDP), Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, who was battered while he was taken into custody, had angiography. Gergerlioğlu's son stated that his father would stay in intensive care today.
Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, who was dismissed as a deputy, was taken to the hospital due to chest and heart pain after being detained. Footage of Gergerlioğlu being battered by the police when he was taken into custody had reflected in the press.
Bişar Abdi Alıak, Gergerlioğlu's attorney, in a statement made on his social media account, asserted that "Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu has just been brought to the courthouse. Due to chest and heart pain, the doctor suggested that he should be taken to the cardiology department. Now we do not know which hospital he is or what kind of medical intervention is being done. We are not being informed."

Attorney Alınak also shared the battery report of Gergerlioğlu. The report includes doctor's observations such as "tear on the outer surface of the left thumb joint, bruises in the elbow and neck, shortness of breath."
HAD AN ANGIOGRAPHY
Salih Gergerlioğlu, son of Gergerlioğlu, posted on Twitter, "My father is in the hospital. He will have an angiography because he has heart and chest pain" and then posted, "My father had angiography. He was taken to intensive care due to high blood pressure. He will stay in intensive care today. He is in good condition."
