DİYARBAKIR - Two armed attacks were carried out yesterday against the house of Mehmet Şah Bozkuş, who was arrested on the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" in Lice. Her daughter Leyla Bozkuş, who survived the attack said that the shell cases were still on the ground and not a single government official came.
Mehmet Şah Bozkuş, who was arrested with the accusation of 'being a member of a terrorist organization' was detained after an armed fight in the rural area between Çağdaş (Cinezur), Dibek (Derxust), Arıklı (Hiseynik) and Bağlan (Mişirf) neigborhoods of Diyarbakır's Lice district on January 9 in which a soldier died. Bozkuş's house was assaulted with automatic guns twice last night.
'A PLANNED ATTACK'
Bozkuş's daughter Leyla Bozkuş, who informed the Mesopotamia Agency about the attack, noted that an armed attack was carried out against their house twice after the power cut last night. Stating that 6 people, 2 of whom are children, survived the attack unharmed, Bozkuş said: "Right after the power cut in the village, 2 people attacked our house with weapons. It was a planned attack carried out by 3 people."
'NO ONE CAME FROM THE POLICE STATION'
Stating that they don't have any enemies, Bozkuş drew attention to the fact that no government officials have come to their village since last night. Emphasizing that the empty shell cases are still on the ground, Bozkuş said: "Dozens of shell cases are still on the ground. They said they would come today when I called the Hezan Gendarmerie Station last night, but no one came yet. I do not think they will come. They have prejudices against us."
Stating that his father was arrested on the allegation of "being a member of a terrorist organization" and that they were subjected to this accusation as well, Bozkuş demanded the incident to be investigated.
