URFA – The police attacked Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar on the 24th day of the "Justice Watch" they started in front of the Urfa Courthouse. Battered by the police, Ferit Şenyaşar was hospitalized.
Police attacked Ferit Şenyaşar and Emine Şenyaşar who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack of the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız. Feeling faint, Ferit Şenyaşar was taken to the hospital.
The family, who started a sit in in front of the courthouse in the morning, was first taken out of the courthouse. Later, the family was dragged outside of the courthouse complex. Ferit Şenyaşar stated that they want to continue their sit in right outside of the couthouse complex, but the Urfa Security Branch Supervisor told he won't allow it and the police battered him while taking him into custody.
Şenyaşar was stuck under a parked car while being dragged outside the courthouse by the police. Hitting his head on the sidewalk, Şenyaşar had a nervous breakdown and fainted. An ambulance was called to the scene.
'WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US'
Şenyaşar, who had a nervous breakdown during detention, was taken to Mehmet Akif İnan Training and Research Hospital. Mother Emine Şenyaşar and lawyers also accompanied him. Protesting the battering of her son, mother Şenyaşar said: "Where shall we go, where shall we seek justice? What do you want from us? Why don't you arrest the killers?"
JOURNALISTS THREATENED
On the other hand, reporters of Jinnews and Mesopotamia Agency were prevented from doing their jobs. Warning the reporters trying to take a picture, one police officer threatened reporters and said that "The governorship banned this action. If I see a single photo or image, I will arrest you."
Accompanied by Mother Emine Şenyaşar and family lawyers, Ferit Şenyaşar is currently being treated in the emergency room.
