İSTANBUL - 12 women who were detained for participating in the Feminist Night March were taken to the courthouse. The slogans 'Tayyip, run away, the women are on the way' and 'Jump, jump, those who do not jump are Tayyip' were subject to accusations.
12 women from Free Women's Movement (TJA), İstanbul Women's Committee, Women's Liberation and Socialist Refoundation Party were detained with raids on their homes for participating in the 19th Feminist Night March held in Istanbul as part of International Women's Day, accused of 'insulting the president'.
JUMPING UP AND DOWN IS A CRIME
The women were accused of shouting the above mentioned slogans at the İstanbul Security Directorate in Vatan Street. It turned out that it was not determined if the women were shouting these slogans because of their face masks and they were detained because they jumped up and down to the rhythm of the slogan. After being processed at the police station, the women were referred to İstanbul Court house located in Çağlayan.

Expressing their anger at the detentions using the hashtag #MartaDokunma since word got out that the women were detained, women started to flock to the Çağlayan Courthouse.
