We must participate in process with spirit of comrades Zilan and Mazlum says Prisoner Uyar 2025-03-17 09:59:48 AMED - "With the historic İmralı call, we must participate in the process in the spirit of Comrades Mazlum, Zilan and Kemal in order to achieve the honourable peace that capitalist modernity is trying to prevent, and we must ensure that it is successful," said prisoner Metin Uyar.     Metin Uyar, a prisoner in Kırşehir High Security Closed Prison, sent a letter to our agency through his family regarding Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's "Call for Peace and Democratic Society" announced to the public on 27 February.    Pointing out that we are going through an important, critical and historical period, Uyar said, "Our efforts have turned from a dried up branch into a plane tree that will never be destroyed. Enough blood has been shed, enough pain has been suffered, funerals have been given to mothers by postal mail, children have played with the empty shells of bullets instead of playing in parks and playing with play dough. Instead of extinguishing the flames of candles on their birthdays, they tried to extinguish the fires burning their own bodies in the basements. Capitalist modernity, the locomotive of the three horsemen of the apocalypse, has done nothing but throw wook on the fire of the apocalypse. Imperialism and the modernity of capitalism, capital finance and the modernity of capitalism have always used the Turkish-Kurdish massacre as a blackmail regime to make money from money and for more exploitation, and the concept of peace has been marginalised."   'FREEDOM IS ACHIEVED BY KNOWING THE TRUTH'   Expressing that he is ready to do his best for the historic İmralı call, Uyar said, "A new birth must be ensured, not an end, without arbitrariness, without complacency, without giving up resistance and struggle, without the feeling of defeat. Without betraying our feelings and dreams, which make us human, which cause us to have an honourable personality, without acting emotionally, without opening the door to nationalism, sexism, religionism and scientism, which are the 4 variants of liberalism, just as we have negated the denial and annihilation imposed by capitalist modernity in the last 200 years for 50 years, With the historic İmralı call, we must participate in the process in the spirit of Comrades Mazlum, Zilan and Kemal in order to achieve the honourable peace that capitalist modernity is trying to prevent, and we must ensure that it is successful."   Emphasisng that the discourse of "who took what, who gave what" is a liveralist thought, Uyar said, "The peace of societies, peoples and social problems cannot be solved by capitalist thoughts with merchant logic. Such discussions and thoughts are far from independent thinking. Especially those of us in prisons are being subjected to great injustice. Without the physical freedom of the wise man (Abdullah Öcalan) and social peace, it is impossible to talk about the freedom of frineds in prison."    "Just as the right life is never lived wrongly, wrong words and discourses are not perceived correctly, even if the intentions are good," said Uyar and added: "Just as the great births in our history of struggle have succeeded; The wise man will realise his fifth birth with a true Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood with the historical İmralı call he has made. 'Truth is love, love is free life.' Most importantly, it will succeed by understanding the wise man. It will be achieved by showing the necessary sacrifice for the success of the congress."   WHO IS METIN UYAR?    Metin Uyar, who was detained wounded in 2014 in Bazid (Doğubeyazıt) district of Agirî (Ağrı), was sentenced to 32 years in the trial.
