DEM Party: Those who fear the will of people are at it again

	NEWS CENTRE - DEM Party reacted to the appointment of a trustee to Kagizman Municipality as "Trustee system is the AKP government's war against the people's right to elect and be elected". CHP also reacted the decision and said, "not even a year after elections, the government seized 12 municipalities."

	 

	Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party made a statement on the appointment of a trustee to the municipality in Kagizman district of Qers (Kars). The statement reads: "Those who fear the will of the people are at it again. The trustee appointed to Kars Kagizman Municipality is the AKP government's war against the people' right to elect and be elected. Our municipalities are targeted because they serve the people and disrupt the corruption order. However, neither we nor our people will accept the usurpation of trustees. We never accept this coup against democracy, the will of the people and our elected co-mayors. The trustee system will collapse, the people will win."

	 

	CHP: 12 MUNICIPALITIES SEIZED WITH DESKBOUND GAMES'

	
	

	Republican People's Party (CHP) Deputy Chair Burhanettin Bulut also reacted to the trustee decision on his virtual media account. Bulut said, "Not even a year after the 31 March elections, the government seized 12 municipalities that it could not win in the elections with deskbound games. Appointing a trustee to Kagizman Municipality s a blow to the will of Kagizman people and democracy. We reject this lawlessness, democracy hostility and trustee tyranny."
