During this process, some people were caught and arrested, but they were released not long after. The lawsuits have expired. We will continue our demand for justice, no matter what the outcome."
ORGANIZED NO FORCE CAN DEFEAT A PEOPLE
Cuma Erçe, Chair of the Pir Sultan Association, stated that they carried out an organized struggle despite the pressures and said: “The fire burning in Madımak and the fire burning in Roboskî, Mêrdîn and Amed are the same. Those who besieged Sivas Madımak that day are besieging Turkey today. The black smoke in Madımak surrounded everywhere today and we are unable to breathe. Our duty is to disperse this black smoke with all the oppressed here. It is necessary to organize more against all these pressures. Everyone knows that no force can defeat an organized people."
